Leora is a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with over 25 years experience in the NHS and Local Authority. Leora works with children, adolescents and parents who are facing emotional, behavioural and/or relational difficulties.

 

Leora's post graduate qualification at the Tavistock Clinic enriched her knowledge and previous expertise as a Principal Social Worker. She has particular expertise in group work, from working at Northgate Clinic, an in patient psychiatric unit for adolescents, for 14 years. Young people admitted had severe difficulties , many having suffered traumas that significantly Impacted on their lives. They taught her about people's resilience and their courage to face extremely painful issues in their lives.

 

Since 2008, Leora has worked in the community in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) and the Services for Children and Adolescents with Neuro developmental conditions (SCAN). She has been working in a multi specialist diagnostic clinic(Eg ADHD and ASD) and is ADOS trained.

 

Leora supervises a Family Therapy Clinic, providing training to multi-disciplinary professionals. She offers consultation to schools and children centres.

 

Leora is also a Yoga teacher working in schools and nurseries teaching children yoga. Her experience in Yoga brings a mindful sensitivity that influences her therapeutic clinical practice.
